Kuwait, Oman eye road-building expertise exchange

They discussed technical and administrative matters related to executing and managing major road projects, road and infrastructure projects in the two countries, insights and lessons from executing and managing major projects, working methods, experience of Kuwait in the implementation of the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Causeway project, best practices and modern technologies used in designing and implementing road projects, design specifications and standards, mechanisms for tendering and awarding projects, contract management, monitoring execution phases, expertise regarding material testing for road projects, quality control methods, ensuring that work complies with approved specifications and standards to improve project quality and execution efficiency, importance of exchanging insights and technical expertise among specialists in both countries, and value of utilizing accumulated experience in road and infrastructure projects to refine working methods and improve the efficiency and quality of future undertakings.

The visit is in line with ongoing efforts to strength technical cooperation between the State of Kuwait and the Sultanate of Oman, as well as exchanging experience and expertise in road and infrastructure, thereby, contributing to the development of the road network and raising project efficiency and quality.
