DUBAI, Nov 18: The Kuwaiti Olympic team suffered a 1-0 defeat against Tajikistan in a friendly match held in the Emirate of Ajman as part of their training camp. The Kuwaiti national team is currently in preparation for the AFC U-23 Cup, set to take place in Qatar next April. This tournament serves as a qualifier for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The performance of Al-Azraq under their Portuguese coach, Pexi, fell short of expectations, particularly in the second half, which saw the Tajik national team score the decisive goal. Looking ahead, the Kuwaiti national team is scheduled to participate in their second friendly match against the UAE national.
