DOHA, April 13: Director of the Kuwait Olympic team, Jarrah Al-Ateeqi, shared insights into the team's rigorous training regimen at Qatar University stadiums in anticipation of the AFC U-23 Cup finals, set to take place in Qatar from April 15 to May 3.
Kuwait is Group D alongside Vietnam, Uzbekistan, and Malaysia. Kuwait Olympic team channeling its energies under the guidance of administrative and technical staff. Al-Ateeqi highlighted the players' dedication to adhering to instructions and their eagerness to showcase stellar performances to delight fans during the tournament.
Expressing optimism, Al-Ateeqi voiced aspirations for the team’s success and urged fervent support from fans throughout the event. With 16 teams vying for supremacy, the top three will secure direct qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics, while the fourth-placed team will contend in the global playoff.
Portuguese national team coach, Emilio Peixe, curated a 25-player roster, featuring talents such as Talal Al-Qaisi, Fahd Al-Fadhli, and Saleh Al-Mahtab. However, two players are slated for exclusion by the Blues' technical staff before the tournament kick-off.
Meanwhile, the organizing committee for the AFC U-23 Cup unveiled ticket sales for the much-anticipated matches. Available in digital format, tickets afford fans access to the enthralling continental event's matchups.
Group stage match tickets start at 15 Qatari riyals and can be acquired via the official Hayya to Qatar mobile application. International fans can also purchase tickets through the same platform.
