Kuwait Oil Tanker Fully Contained in Dubai Waters - No Oil Leakage

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 31: Dubai authorities confirmed that response teams have successfully contained an incident involving a Kuwait oil tanker in Dubai waters. Officials stated that the situation was brought under control without any oil leakage and with no reported injuries. Emergency and maritime response units were deployed immediately to secure the area and ensure navigational safety, and normal operations in the surrounding waters are now being monitored and restored.

Earlier, the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announced that one of its giant crude oil tankers, Al-Salmi, was directly targeted in what it described as a “heinous Iranian aggression” while anchored near Dubai port in the United Arab Emirates.

According to the official statement, the vessel was fully loaded at the time of the incident. The attack caused material damage to the ship’s hull and sparked a fire onboard, raising concerns over a potential oil spill in surrounding waters.

The corporation confirmed that no casualties were reported among the crew. Emergency response teams are currently working to contain the situation and assess the extent of the damage.
