KUWAIT CITY, Mar 31: The Kuwait Oil Tanker Company confirmed the safety of all crew members aboard the tanker “Al-Salmi” following a fire caused by what it described as a criminal Iranian attack.
In a media briefing, company spokesperson Bader Al-Mutairi said the fire was brought under control and completely extinguished, with no injuries reported among the crew.
He also confirmed that no oil spill or environmental pollution was detected in the surrounding marine area.
Al-Mutairi added that the company is continuing a comprehensive technical assessment to determine the extent of the damage and to ensure the vessel’s operational readiness.
