Kuwait oil sector leadership praises workforce resilience

Chief Executive Officer of KPC Sheikh Nawaf Al-Saud Al-Sabah

KUWAIT CITY, April 19: In a message from senior officials in the oil sector to employees of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries, Chief Executive Officer of KPC Sheikh Nawaf Al-Saud Al-Sabah emphasized that Kuwait was subjected to Iranian attacks for six weeks as a result of disputes in which Kuwait had no part. In a video posted by KPC on its X account, Sheikh Nawaf praised the role of oil sector workers and highlighted their vital contribution during the crisis. The Managing Director of Human Resources and Comprehensive Services, Hisham Al-Rifai, said the war and its repercussions tested the patience of oil sector employees, who faced real-world challenges.

The Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) Wadha Al-Khateeb commended oil sector workers and emergency response teams for their vital role during the exceptional circumstances Kuwait experienced. The Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) Ahmed Al- Eidan expressed his pride in the role of oil sector workers and employees during the crisis. The Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Gulf Oil Company, Bader Al- Munaifi, stated that the oil sector is not merely facilities and an economic asset, but the very soul and resilience of Kuwait. The Chief Executive Officer of Petrochemical Industries Company, Nadia Haji, said the oil sector is part of a larger system that protects Kuwait. She also praised the role of the armed forces in safeguarding the country from all dangers and confronting all challenges. The Managing Director for Planning and Finance, Bader Al-Attar, affirmed that the oil sector will recover strongly and that all damages will be repaired.

The Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company, Issa Al-Maraghi, stated, “With true national will, this phase will be overcome and will pave the way for a better future.” The Managing Director for Global Marketing and Acting Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Oil Tanker Company, Sheikh Khaled Al-Sabah, expressed his gratitude to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, for their support of all the state’s efforts to ensure Kuwait’s continued security and safety. The Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Petroleum International, Shafi Talib Al-Ajmi, said the efforts of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah in the oil sector during the crisis confirm the solidarity of all state entities.
