KUWAIT CITY, Apr 5: Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said several of its operational facilities at subsidiaries Kuwait National Petroleum Company and Petrochemical Industries Company were targeted in a drone attack on Sunday, resulting in fires and significant material losses.
In a statement, KPC said emergency and firefighting teams, supported by the Kuwait Fire Force, were immediately deployed and activated response plans to contain the fires and prevent them from spreading to other facilities.
The corporation confirmed that no casualties were reported, adding that all precautionary measures had been taken to ensure the safety of employees and secure the affected sites.
KPC said it is coordinating with relevant authorities to assess the extent of the damage, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and security.
