Kuwait Oil Company approves 24 contractors for onshore drilling and well maintenance

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 21 : The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has approved 24 contractors to carry out onshore drilling operations and maintenance of shallow wells, according to the latest update of its electronic list on September 21, 2026.

The approved contractors include five Kuwaiti companies — Burgan Drilling, Trading and Maintenance; Kuwait Drilling; Sun Drilling Kuwait for Oil Well Drilling; TDL Kuwait for Oil Drilling Platforms, Natural Gas Extraction, Services and Facilities; and United Precision Drilling.

The remaining qualified contractors include companies from Oman, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, Egypt, India and Germany, as well as companies registered in the Cayman Islands, Bermuda and Panama.

Among the companies on the updated list are Abraj Energy Services of Oman, ADNOC Drilling of the UAE, Arabian Drilling of Saudi Arabia, Anton Oilfield Services of the UAE, China Oilfield Services, Egyptian Drilling, China Engineering Drilling Company (CNPC Bohai), Great Wall Drilling Company, John Energy of India and Kerui Oilfield Services.

The list also includes KCA Deutag German Drilling, Mohammed Al Barghwani Petroleum Services of Oman, Nabors Drilling International, Oman National Drilling Services, Sea & Land Drilling Contractors, Sinopec International Petroleum Services, Karamay Jianyi Energy of China, Modern Drilling of Egypt, COSL Oilfield Services of China and Gray Wolf International Drilling.

The approval provides KOC with a pool of qualified local and international contractors for onshore drilling and shallow-well maintenance projects.
