Kuwait officials call for strict action against state property encroachments
Kuwait authorities highlight urgent need to enforce laws against illegal use of state property.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 29:  Khalifa Al-Ajeel, Minister of Commerce and Industry and head of the Cabinet’s Public Authority for Industry (PAI) follow-up committee, emphasized the urgent need to strictly enforce laws and eliminate all encroachments on state property by owners of industrial, craft, and service plots.

Speaking to KUNA after chairing the PAI follow-up committee meeting at Seif Palace on Monday, Al-Ajeel highlighted that the Cabinet's decisions aim to safeguard state assets and support compliant plot owners to operate in line with licenses issued by the relevant authorities.

During the meeting, the committee reviewed field reports on violations within industrial, craft, and service plots and instructed inspection teams to intensify and continue inspection campaigns across all governorates. The goal is to detect violations early, uphold the rule of law, and deter offenders.

The committee comprises several key ministers, including Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Housing Affairs Abdullatif Al-Mishari, Minister of Justice Counselor Nasser Al-Sumait, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, and Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment Dr. Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem.
