Kuwait Nets 12 Fugitives; Illegal Taxi Operation Run by Two Asians Busted

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3: The General Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior continued its security and traffic campaigns in various governorates, resulting in the arrest of 12 wanted individuals, including those who violated the Residency and Labor laws and others involved in different cases. A security source disclosed that the field patrols, which covered all governorates, led to the arrest of individuals of different nationalities who are wanted by law. The source affirmed that the security campaigns are ongoing to apprehend all those proven to have violated the laws of the country and committed crimes. The source added that all those arrested in the recent campaign were referred to the concerned authorities.

Meanwhile, the Traffic Investigation Department arrested two Asians for illegally transporting passengers in their private vehicles. They were referred to the Traffic Detention Center and their vehicles were impounded. According to a security source, the necessary legal measures were taken against the violators, who were referred to the relevant authorities. The source reiterated that illegally transporting passengers is a grave traffic violation.
