Al-Anjeri, Korean scholars discuss post-oil, ‘post-Covid’ world status

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 27: A special closed forum was organized with the help of Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the State of Kuwait HE Hong Youngki on Sunday 9/27/2020. This virtual on-line forum hosted the Founder and CEO of Reconnaissance Research Abdulaziz Al-Anjeri as the guest speaker in a discussion with Korean Universities and Policy Institutes represented by:

1) Dr Jang Ji-Hyang, Director of Middle East and North Africa Center, The Asan Institute for Policy Studies

2) Dr Lee Kwon Hyung, Director General of New Southern Policy Department / Head of the Middle East and Africa Team, Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP)

3) Dr Sung Il Kwang, Senior Research Fellow, The Sogang Euro- MENA Institute, Sogang University

4) Dr Park Hyondo, Humanities Korea Research Professor, Institute of Middle Eastern Affairs, Myongji University.

Al-Anjeri played an important role in establishing Reconnaissance Research as an active and professional policy institute with growing international reach coupled with respect for his work.

In his speech, he spoke about topics impacting Kuwait and what effects it might have on Korean interest. His candor on the importance of a vibrant private sector, anti-corruption efforts and good governance echoed well with the participants who shared the Korean model and opened windows of collaboration to introduce the Korean example to interested scholars and researchers in Kuwait.

Al-Anjeri explained that “Many sources both local and international believe that Kuwait needs to quickly implement many reforms, to ensure a continued prosperity for the Kuwaiti people, he also expressed a sense of relief and optimism shared by many Kuwaitis in recent weeks due to the new approach to prevent corruption and to ensure good governance ”. Al-Anjeri will be the main guest at the Jeju Forum webinar on Oct 8th organized by the Jeju Peace Institute (JPI). His knowledge and candor will be greatly beneficial to the forum.
