Kuwait National Guard Warns of Fake Statement Circulating on Social Media

KUWAIT CITY, May 15: The Kuwait National Guard has warned the public against circulating a fake statement falsely attributed to the Government Communication Center regarding an alleged official announcement issued by the Guard.

Brigadier General Dr. Jadaan Fadel Jadaan, spokesperson for the Kuwait National Guard and Director of the Moral Guidance Directorate, said the image in circulation is an incorrect and fabricated statement published through an account impersonating an official entity.

He stressed the importance of verifying information and relying only on authorized official accounts when sharing news or statements related to state institutions.

The spokesperson urged the public not to be influenced by rumors or misleading content circulating on social media, emphasizing that such false information can cause confusion and undermine public trust.

Authorities reiterated their call for citizens and residents to exercise caution online and ensure the authenticity of news before sharing or engaging with it.
