KUWAIT CITY, April 3:The Kuwait National Guard announced on Friday that it had successfully intercepted and shot down two drones over the past 24 hours within its designated areas of responsibility.
In a statement issued through the Government Communication Center, the National Guard said the action was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen national security, protect vital installations, and respond to potential aerial threats.
Authorities did not immediately provide details on the origin of the drones or whether they were carrying payloads. No casualties or damage were reported in connection with the incidents.
The National Guard emphasized that its units remain on continuous alert and are operating in coordination with other security agencies to ensure the protection of critical infrastructure across the country.
Officials reiterated that enhanced surveillance and airspace monitoring measures are ongoing as part of broader security readiness efforts.
