Kuwait National Guard ‘Banner 2’ drill puts crisis readiness to the test

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: Undersecretary of the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) Lieutenant General Hamad Al-Barjas affirmed on Sunday that the “Nation’s Banner 2” exercise enhances integration between military and security agencies and unifies the training concepts and plans. He made the statement following his attendance in the second phase of the “Nation’s Banner 2” exercise at the Operations, Security System, and Crisis Management Center of the KNG headquarters, in cooperation with the Ministries of Defense and Interior, and the General Fire Force, according to a KNG release. He added that the exercise provides an opportunity to train the KNG staff on managing operations and making timely decisions and tasks that they may face in emergencies. Al-Barjas commended the efforts of the participants in carrying out the exercise. (KUNA)
