KUWAIT CITY, Sep 29: The Ministry of Interior announced that, as part of its continuous and proactive efforts to safeguard national security and preserve stability, security forces—represented by the State Security Service—have arrested an Arab resident affiliated with a banned organization. This group, according to authorities, seeks to undermine Kuwait’s security and destabilize its fundamental systems.

The arrest was carried out after intelligence revealed that the suspect was planning a terrorist bombing targeting places of worship in the country. Following extensive monitoring and close surveillance, the accused was apprehended.

Upon searching his residence, security personnel discovered various devices and materials used in the manufacturing of explosives, along with instructions and techniques for preparing and deploying them. These findings confirmed the seriousness of the plan he intended to execute.

The Ministry emphasized its unwavering commitment to countering all forms of terrorism and extremism. It stressed that it remains vigilant and determined to confront anyone attempting to compromise national security or endanger the safety of society. The statement further affirmed that terrorist plots will not be tolerated under any circumstances and will be met with firm and decisive measures to ensure the security of the homeland and the protection of both citizens and residents.
