KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16: The Kuwait Municipality confirmed the continuation of its field inspection campaigns in construction sites by engineers supervising the implementation of building regulations. These campaigns aim to ensure compliance with building regulations and requirements for private, industrial and investment uses. In a press statement on Thursday, Salman Al-Otaibi ( head of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipality team) underscored the importance of obtaining all the necessary permits before commencing construction work to avoid all types of violations and warnings. He said the inspection teams of the Municipality are always keen on taking control measures during their field visits to construction sites, as violations pose a threat to the lives of workers and the residents.
He revealed that his team conducted field tours Sabah Al-Salem on Thursday, during which 10 warnings were issued to private residences and two building code violations. He stressed that the inspection teams will not hesitate to take regulatory measures as per the building regulations and ensure compliance with the regulations. He added that the inspection tour will be followed by others in all governorates according to the timetable prepared by the Public Relations Department team in coordination with other concerned departments to implement these campaigns in the coming weeks.
