KUWAIT CITY, July 12: Kuwait Municipality's Ahmadi Governorate branch removed 257 abandoned vehicles and issued 211 violations during inspection campaigns carried out across the governorate in June to enforce public hygiene and road occupancy regulations.

The campaigns, conducted by the Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Department, targeted abandoned vehicles, boats, scrap materials, street vendors and other violations affecting public cleanliness and obstructing roads.

Acting Director of the Al-Ahmadi Municipality Branch, Saad Al-Khurainj, said the intensive field inspections are aimed at eliminating negative practices, improving cleanliness and preserving the governorate's appearance. He stressed that the municipality would not hesitate to take legal action against violators.

During the month, inspection teams also removed 12 mobile carts and placed 1,983 warning stickers on abandoned vehicles and boats ahead of their removal after the legal notice period.

In addition, the municipality renewed 14 road occupancy licenses and issued 19 new licenses.

Al-Khurainj said inspection campaigns will continue throughout the governorate, emphasizing that there will be no leniency in enforcing public hygiene and road occupancy regulations.
