KUWAIT CITY, April 26: Kuwait Municipality has launched extensive cleaning campaigns across all governorates, with field teams deployed to monitor violations and enforce public hygiene regulations through the end of April.

In a statement issued Sunday, the municipality’s Public Relations Department said the initiative aims to enhance overall cleanliness standards and improve the visual appeal of public spaces, while removing obstructions from roads and residential areas.

The campaigns began in Hawalli Governorate, where inspection teams are reviewing public cleaning services, including monitoring sanitation work, supervising contractors, and ensuring compliance with cleanliness regulations. Authorities are also targeting street vendors and other activities that may contribute to road congestion or environmental degradation.

Municipality officials said special attention is being given to removing abandoned vehicles, boats, and scrap materials from streets and open spaces, as part of efforts to eliminate visual clutter and improve safety.

The Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Department affirmed that field inspections will continue across the country, stressing that strict legal action will be taken against violators, with no tolerance for breaches of public cleanliness and road use regulations.
