Kuwait Municipality issued 20 warnings last week for construction violations.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 21: Kuwait Municipality has issued 20 warnings in the past week for non-compliance with construction and restoration work in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate. This enforcement action is part of an ongoing field inspection campaign aimed at detecting violations related to construction activities.

Muhammad Al-Marri, the acting director of the Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipality, emphasized that the inspection initiative seeks to ensure strict adherence to Kuwait Municipality’s laws and regulations concerning construction and restoration work.

During the recent inspection rounds in the Sabah Al-Salem area, specifically focusing on private and investment housing, the field team verified the proper delivery of electrical current to a newly constructed building. Throughout the week, the teams documented six instances of construction violations in various areas of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate.

Al-Marri highlighted the challenges faced by the field teams, with increased construction rates being a major concern. Such violations not only breach regulations but also pose significant risks to the safety of both citizens and residents. He stressed the importance of raising awareness about municipality laws and regulations during these field tours, aiming to ensure citizens understand the significance of compliance and the potential dangers associated with exceeding prescribed construction limits.
