KUWAIT CITY, Jun 13: The Ministry of Education has announced the launch of approved training programs for the fourth phase of its promotion and qualification system for educational supervisory positions, as part of ongoing efforts to develop national competencies and improve educational leadership standards.

The initiative, implemented through the Development and Training Department, follows the completion of the first three stages of the selection process, which included eligibility screening, electronic examinations, personal interviews, and the announcement of shortlisted candidates across various supervisory categories. The process is being conducted under Ministerial Resolution No. (116) of 2025 governing the filling of educational supervisory roles.

According to the ministry, around 8,000 applicants initially applied when nominations opened last November. Of these, approximately 1,500 candidates advanced in the current cycle after passing earlier stages, in addition to 2,198 candidates carried over from previous sessions who had already cleared tests and interviews and were placed on waiting lists.

The fourth phase targets four key supervisory roles: school principals, assistant principals, heads of study divisions, and technical advisors. Each category will undergo specialized training tracks aligned with updated job descriptions and the ministry’s organizational structure.

The intensive training program will run from June 14 to 18, 2026, and will focus on four main modules: interpersonal skills, leadership, meeting management, and report writing and administrative correspondence. The ministry said the program is designed to strengthen administrative, supervisory, and leadership capabilities needed to effectively manage educational institutions.

Participants will be notified of training schedules and locations through the “Easy Application” platform and SMS messages. Completion of the training, along with a subsequent electronic test, is mandatory for final qualification.

The ministry added that candidates will be ranked based on final scores and placed according to vacancies and institutional needs, while ties will be resolved under Civil Service Council Resolution No. (18/2011) to ensure fairness and transparency.

Officials said the program reflects the ministry’s broader vision of building qualified educational leaders capable of enhancing school performance and advancing the quality of education in line with national development goals.
