Kuwait Moves to Strengthen Labor Market Governance and Worker Protection

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Chairman of the Board Directors of Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah stressed for stronger governance, transparency and administrative efficiency. Chairing PAM’s board meeting on Wednesday, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef called for improving the authority's mechanism to meet its strategic goals, as well as enforcing labor market regulations to protect the rights of all parties fully, a PAM statement said. He also called for implementation of development plans and programs for citizens, employers, and workers in line with the state’s efforts to modernize government services, it added. The meeting also reviewed several agenda items, the latest developments in the authority’s work and plans to improve institutional performance (KUNA)
