KUWAIT CITY, Aug 21: Kuwait’s Ministry of Information has requested the Ministry of Communications to block the online game Roblox, citing potential risks to children, a local newspaper reported. A source revealed that the move comes after repeated complaints from citizens who argued the game contradicts moral values and social norms, contains scenes of bloody violence, promotes aggressive behavior, and includes content deemed inappropriate for children.
The request follows similar actions by other countries in the region and beyond. Qatar and Oman have blocked the game, while China and Turkey cited its potential to encourage harmful behavior among minors. Jordan and North Korea also prohibited Roblox, highlighting concerns over the mental and psychological well-being of children.
