KUWAIT CITY, May 4: Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works, has confirmed the ongoing road maintenance efforts in the Abdullah Al-Mubarak area as part of an extensive initiative encompassing 18 major projects aimed at renovating highways and internal roads across all six of Kuwait’s governorates.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Al-Mashaan stressed that these maintenance projects are crucial for strengthening the nation’s infrastructure and boosting economic growth. She also reaffirmed the Ministry’s dedication to following international quality standards in the execution of these projects, which will support both economic and urban development in Kuwait.

Engineer Abdullah Al-Mutairi, the Deputy Supervisor of Project Contract No. 12 in Farwaniya Governorate's Second Zone, provided updates on the progress of the work. He reported that teams are currently applying a Type 2 asphalt layer in Block 8 on streets 802, 807, and 826, ahead of the final Type 3 layer. Additionally, scraping work is underway for the second asphalt layer on streets 828, 829, and 834, while maintenance of the rainwater drainage network in Al-Rabiya Block 1 is also in progress.

Looking ahead, Al-Mutairi mentioned that asphalt maintenance will begin next week in Al-Omariya Block 1, after the completion of rainwater network work. He also noted that cleaning and maintenance of the rainwater system in Al-Rehab Block 3 will begin soon.
