Kuwait Ministry of Information Reaffirms Strict Standards for National Media Content
Ministry of Information updates advertising rules for special programs on TV and radio.

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 31: The Kuwait Ministry of Information has reaffirmed that all content broadcast through official television and radio channels, as well as its approved digital platforms, is subject to strict professional and procedural standards.

In a press statement, the ministry said these frameworks are designed to ensure high-quality content that aligns with national principles and state media policy, reflecting Kuwait’s image and preserving its standing.

The ministry emphasized that this approach stems from its responsibility to safeguard national identity and promote positive values in society. It also commended individual and institutional initiatives producing national works that strengthen a sense of belonging, provided they fully comply with approved professional and technical standards.

These standards include the quality of scripts and content, clarity of presentation, and level of performance, ensuring output that reflects national values and unity.

The ministry further stressed the need for prior coordination before producing, executing, or publishing any national works, to ensure unified messaging, regulatory compliance, and access to institutional support.

It added that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to regulate and develop the media and artistic sector, enhance the quality of national content, and strengthen its positive impact in line with the country’s aspirations.
