KUWAIT, July 18: Kuwait Armed Forces detected ballistic missiles and hostile drones entering the country's airspace since dawn Saturday, with all threats successfully intercepted and dealt with.
In a press statement, Spokesman for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense Col. Saud Al-Atwan said Iranian attacks continued targeting military and security facilities, as well as vital civilian installations, including oil, electricity, and water sector facilities, causing fires and significant damage.
He added that relevant authorities immediately began firefighting and repair operations, resulting in injuries among several Kuwait Fire Force personnel and oil sector workers who were performing their duties and receiving medical care.
Al-Atwan noted that debris from intercepted hostile attacks fell in several locations and residential areas, causing material damage but no reported human casualties.
The Armed Forces affirmed their continued commitment to carrying out duties with high efficiency, maintaining full readiness, and taking all necessary measures to protect national sovereignty, security, and stability in coordination with relevant authorities. (KUNA)
