BEIRUT, Sept 4: Kuwait’s men’s beach volleyball team claimed a straight-sets victory over Palestine on the second day of the 30th Arab Men’s and 20th Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship, held in the coastal town of Batroun, northern Lebanon.
Team A, consisting of Nawaf Al-Rashidi and Ibrahim Diaa, secured the win, while Team B, made up of Abdulwahab Amir and Taha Sadiq, faced tough matches against Iraq and Morocco but could not record a victory.
The Kuwaiti men’s team also fell short in their encounter with Lebanon, and the women’s team, featuring Alaa Anas and Halima Abdullah, was defeated by Algeria.
The Kuwaiti delegation is led by the head of the mission, Essa Al-Salim, along with administrator Reem Al-Zaabi and coach Ahmed Abdulrazzaq.
The championship runs until September 5, with participation from Kuwait, Lebanon, Algeria, Iraq, Palestine, Qatar, and Morocco.
