KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6: The preliminary round of the Kuwaiti Men's Ice Hockey League, hosted by the Winter Games Club, concluded today with five teams participating. The Stars and Warriors clubs secured spots in the final match set for February 18th after a series of intense competitions. The Warriors triumphed over Mossads with a score of 8/2, earning their place in the final against the Stars, who had already secured their spots by finishing atop the tournament standings. Other participating teams included the Camels, Falcon Mossads, and Bahraini club Bahrain. Khaled Al-Mutairi, Vice President of the Winter Games Club, expressed satisfaction with the tournament's technical level and the emergence of promising players. Anticipation is high for the final match, expected to be fiercely competitive given the strong performances throughout the tournament. The Winter Games Club is committed to nurturing talent through league competitions, aiming to groom players for national teams and international events like the upcoming World Cup. Led by Fahid Al-Ajmi, the club is gearing up for the world championship, striving for excellence and eyeing advancement to the third level under the International Ice Hockey Federation's supervision.
