DOHA, Jan 3: Kuwaiti power lifters bagged 29 medals, including a gold, at the concurrent West Asia and Qatar Cup International contests, both of which were hosted by Qatar, powerlifting federation chief Talal Al-Jassar said on Tuesday.
Abrar Al-Fahad’s gold-medal winning performance was the highlight for the Kuwaiti side, he underlined, as she went on to clinch first place in the 76-kilogram category in the women’s competition. Youngster Fahad Al-Otaibi’s trio of bronze medals was also among the standout Kuwaiti performances, while the official went on to hail the Kuwaiti success in the competitions.(KUNA)
