KUWAIT CITY, May 27: Citizens and residents across Kuwait began performing the ritual of Eid Al-Adha sacrifices following Wednesday morning prayers, in scenes reflecting the values of compassion, generosity, and social solidarity associated with the holy occasion.

Worshippers headed to central slaughterhouses across the country on the first day of Eid Al-Adha, known as the Day of Sacrifice, as well as during the days of Tashreeq, to carry out the religious rite symbolizing obedience and devotion to God.

Authorities prepared slaughterhouses with comprehensive facilities and organized services while implementing strict public health and safety measures to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of sacrificial rituals.

Those offering sacrifices carefully selected livestock that met Islamic requirements regarding age, health, and freedom from defects, in observance of the traditions and significance of the ritual.

At the same time, charitable initiatives and volunteers distributed meat to needy families, reinforcing the spirit of mercy, unity, and social cohesion that marks Eid Al-Adha celebrations in Kuwaiti society.
