KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: The Ministry of Information has announced that it will require all employee leave requests to be submitted exclusively through the Civil Service Commission (CSC) application, as part of its ongoing efforts to advance digital transformation and expand digital government services.
According to an official circular issued by the Ministry (a copy obtained by Alseyassah/Arab Times), this new procedure will be implemented retroactively from January 2025. The Ministry clarified that both previous and newly submitted leave requests will fall under this regulation. Employees have been urged to strictly adhere to registering all leave applications through the officially approved electronic system to ensure compliance with the new policy.
In a related development, informed sources told Alseyassah/Arab Times that the Ministry has also issued another circular announcing the complete suspension of manual transactions (handwritten) related to attendance services, effective from January 1. This suspension covers all types of requests, including regular and emergency leave, permissions of all categories, and exemptions.
The sources confirmed that henceforth, all services associated with attendance, departure, and leave management will be processed exclusively through the Civil Service Commission (CSC) application. This measure is intended to streamline procedures, enhance transparency, and reinforce the Ministry’s transition toward a fully digital administrative system.
