First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah with Lebanon’s Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Al-Hajjar

KUWAIT CITY, June 29:  First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah held talks on Monday with Lebanon’s Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Al- Hajjar on ways to enhance bilateral security cooperation. The Ministry of Interior said in a statement that the discussions took place during an official meeting held on the occasion of Al-Hajjar’s visit to Kuwait, in the presence of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Abdulwahab Al- Wuhaib.

The statement said the two sides reviewed several issues of mutual interest, exchanging views and emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination and consultation, while further developing mechanisms for security cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the relevant authorities in both countries. Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding it to broader levels. The statement added that the meeting also reviewed the distinguished brotherly relations between Kuwait and Lebanon. (KUNA)
