KUWAIT CITY, Aug 21: Kuwait’s Ministry of Health has launched an electronic linkage with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to issue and renew licenses for public health activities, aiming to streamline procedures and reduce paperwork.

The ministry announced on Wednesday via its X platform account that the system enables businesses to apply online for new licenses or renew existing ones. Covered activities include health institutes for men, women, and children, as well as companies specializing in disinfection, pest and rodent extermination, storage, and wholesale and retail sale of pesticides.

According to the ministry, the system enables instant and secure data exchange between the two ministries, cutting transaction times and eliminating the need for in-person visits. Officials stated that the initiative marks a step toward improving Kuwait’s business environment, while enhancing transparency and efficiency in government services.
