Kuwait Launches Nationwide Traffic And Security Crackdown

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 24: In line with its comprehensive security strategy to strengthen the rule of law and safeguard road users, the Ministry of Interior conducted an extensive traffic and security campaign across all governorates at dawn on Sunday.

The initiative, led by the Traffic Affairs and Operations Sector through the General Department of Rescue Police, targeted reckless driving and traffic violations that endanger lives and property. Patrols were deployed on main and secondary roads, while checkpoints were set up in key locations to monitor compliance and apprehend offenders.

Authorities confirmed that several violators were arrested, in addition to multiple traffic citations being issued. The campaign was carried out under strict field coordination to ensure effective enforcement.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that such operations form part of its ongoing efforts to reinforce public safety and stability. It also reiterated that compliance with laws and regulations is a shared responsibility, crucial to protecting lives, property, and the overall security of society.
