KUWAIT CITY, Nov 1: The Ministry of Interior has launched a drive-through service at the Ahmadi Governorate Residency Affairs Department, allowing elderly Kuwaitis, expats, and people with special needs to complete their transactions without leaving their vehicles.
The initiative, introduced by the General Directorate of Residency Affairs through its Ahmadi Governorate department, aims to facilitate procedures, save time and effort, and improve services for visitors.
Under the new arrangement, beneficiaries can complete their residency-related transactions directly from their vehicles, eliminating the need to enter the department's premises.
The service is also expected to help regulate vehicle entry and exit, improve traffic flow and provide a more organized environment for visitors.
The inauguration was attended by the Director of the Ahmadi Governorate Residency Affairs Department Colonel Mohammed Saleh Al-Namash and Assistant Director Colonel Mohammed Sabah Al-Mukaimi.
The Ministry said the initiative forms part of its ongoing efforts to develop government services and make procedures easier and more accessible to the public.
