KUWAIT CITY, Jul 27: The Central Agency for Addressing the Status of Bedouns has announced the launch of an electronic platform for individuals whose Kuwaiti nationality was withdrawn and who were previously covered under Article 5 categories, including holders of distinguished services, children of Kuwaiti women, and individuals registered in the 1965 census.
The agency said the new platform aims to facilitate the completion of procedures required to issue official “to whom it may concern” certificates for eligible cases that have not previously submitted applications.
According to the agency, applicants must provide a copy of their Civil ID card. In cases where the person concerned has passed away, a copy of the death certificate must also be submitted.
The agency clarified that applications must be submitted exclusively under the name of the individual whose nationality withdrawal decree was issued. Dependents are not required to submit separate applications.
If the person named in the withdrawal decree is deceased, relatives must submit the application through the electronic platform using the deceased person’s name and details.
The agency also noted that its website is currently not linked with the Sahel application. Applicants are therefore required to download the issued certificate from the agency’s website and manually upload it to the Sahel app to complete the remaining procedures.
It added that individuals facing technical issues or system problems during the application process can contact the Status Adjustment Department at the Central Agency’s headquarters in East Al-Sawaber.
