Kuwait launches Arab Challenge Cup campaign against Jordan

AMMAN, Nov 27: Kuwait begins its journey in the first-ever Arab Volleyball Challenge Cup, which kicks off today in Amman, Jordan, and continues through December 5. The team will face host nation Jordan at 6:00 p.m. in the opening round.

Other matches include Egypt vs. Libya and Bahrain vs. Palestine. Kuwait will meet Bahrain tomorrow, take on Palestine on November 30, Tunisia on December 3, and Libya on December 4, and conclude the competition against Egypt on December 5.

Kuwait prepared for the tournament through daily training sessions at the national federation hall, foregoing an overseas camp. The coaching staff selected 14 players to represent the country:

Abdulnasser Al-Anzi, Abdullah Al-Mulla, Abdullah Al-Mouin’a, Fares Siraj, Badr Al-Attar, Rashid Anbar, Ahmed Al-Munees, Nasser Dashti, Abdullah Fares, Talal Abdulrazzaq, Abdulrahman Al-Mulla, Fahad Saad Yaqoub, Abdulrahman Al-Mutawa, and Saud Al-Dwaisan.

The delegation is led by Board Member Jassim Al-Felkawei and includes team manager Mohammed Al-Balushi, Argentine head coach Julian Alvarez, his assistants—Kuwaiti Zaid Al-Kazmi and Argentine Lux—and physiotherapist Mohammed Bin Al-Yamam.
