KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: The Ministry of Social Affairs on Sunday launched the national campaign “This Is Your Turn” from Al-Mazroui Café on the northwest beach of Sulaibikhat, aiming to promote cleanliness, protect the environment, and foster community awareness on improving quality of life.

The campaign, which runs until December 3, is witnessing broad participation from government and private entities, along with volunteer teams working together to encourage a culture of environmental responsibility and civic engagement.

Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah emphasized in her speech that the “This Is Your Turn” initiative is not a one-time event, but an enduring national message urging every individual to contribute to preserving and enhancing their surroundings.

Dr. Al-Huwailah stressed that environmental preservation and community development are collective responsibilities that cannot be carried by a single institution. She noted that the initiative reflects the sincere efforts of the Ministry’s volunteer teams in encouraging cooperation and shared responsibility.

She highlighted that partnerships among public and private sectors, along with volunteer organizations, form a cornerstone of sustainable development and play a vital role in promoting a culture of volunteerism across Kuwaiti society.

Expressing her gratitude to all contributors and participants, Dr. Al-Huwailah said she hopes the campaign’s outcomes will reflect Kuwait’s civilized and honorable image through tangible improvements in environmental awareness and community participation.
