The Kuwait team is preparing for the opening match.

JAKARTA, Jan 26: The Kuwaiti national futsal team begins its campaign in the Asian Futsal Championship today, taking on Vietnam at 1:00 PM in Group B’s opening match in Jakarta, Indonesia. Earlier, Lebanon faces Thailand at 9:00 AM in the same group.

The tournament features four groups, with the top two teams from each advancing to the quarterfinals.

Led by Spanish coach Bruno Garcia, Kuwait has prepared extensively for the championship, participating in multiple training camps and friendly matches. The squad combines young talent with experienced players, including Abdullatif Al-Abbasi, Saleh Al-Fadel, Ahmed Al-Farsi, and Abdulaziz Al-Hajri.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Garcia said the team is well-informed about its opponents and ready to deliver its best performance, stressing that Kuwait aims to win every match.

After facing Vietnam today, Kuwait will meet Thailand on Thursday and close its Group B matches against Lebanon on Saturday.
