KUWAIT CITY, Apr 22: The Ministry of Justice has announced an increase in employee attendance to 50% in certain departments, effective starting Sunday, as part of measures aimed at ensuring continuity of work and meeting public service requirements.

In a statement issued on April 22, the ministry said the decision follows approval from the Civil Service Commission, which allowed the increase from the previously set 30% attendance level in several organisational units.

The updated arrangement limits in-office presence to no more than half of the workforce in the affected departments, with a rotational system introduced in which employees alternate between working one day and having the next day off. Supervisors will determine the daily rotation schedule to maintain operational efficiency.

The ministry noted that the earlier 30% attendance cap, introduced on March 1 in line with Civil Service directives due to prevailing regional circumstances, remains the broader framework, while the latest adjustment applies specifically to selected units requiring higher staffing levels.
