ZURICH, Nov 27: Mishaal Al-Ajmi, Director of Development at the Kuwait Winter Games Club, took part in a meeting of the Facilities Committee of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) to review the latest updates on arenas for next year’s Ice Hockey World Cup in Switzerland.
The meeting, held at the IIHF headquarters in Zurich, also explored innovative ideas for designing ice rinks that will host international competitions, ensuring player safety and enhancing overall game quality.
Al-Ajmi highlighted the committee’s efforts to develop world-class venues for this fast-paced sport—the third most popular sport globally—and praised the productive discussions and the IIHF’s commitment to improving facilities across all member nations.
On the local front, Snares defeated Warriors 8-1 in the Kuwaiti Men’s Ice Hockey League, moving to 29 points, while Warriors remain at 27 points.
