Kuwait issues travel advisory for citizens ahead of summer vacation

KUWAIT CITY, May 23: As the summer vacation season approaches, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a reminder to Kuwaiti citizens traveling abroad to adhere to the laws and regulations of their destination countries. The Ministry emphasized the importance of safeguarding personal property and passports during their travels.

In the event of a lost passport while abroad, the Ministry advises using the travel document issuance service, supervised jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Interior. Citizens can utilize the “Sahel” application to electronically obtain an emergency travel document or visit the nearest Kuwaiti embassy for assistance.

The Ministry also highlighted the availability of emergency contact numbers for Kuwaiti missions in various countries. Travelers can reach out to the Consular Communication Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs around the clock for assistance. The contact numbers are as follows:

  • 159 (within Kuwait)
  • 00965159 (outside Kuwait)
  • 0096522225504 (reserve number)

The Ministry’s advisory underscores its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of Kuwaiti citizens while traveling abroad.
