The decision specifies the start and end timings for the official working hours of the members of the teaching and administrative staff:
- Kindergarten: from 6:45 am to 12:05 pm
- Primary stage: from 6:45 am to 1:15 pm
- Intermediate stage: from 7:00 am to 1:40 pm
- Secondary stage: from 7:15 am to 1:55 pm
The start and end timings for flexible working hours are as follows:
- Kindergarten stage: from 6:45 am to 7:30 am, and from 11:35 am to 12:20 pm
- Elementary stage: from 6:45 am to 7:30 am, and from 12:45 pm to 1:30 pm
- Intermediate stage: from 6:55 am to 7:40 am, and from 1:05 pm to 1:50 pm
- Secondary stage: from 7:10 am to 7:55 am, and from 1:20 pm to 2:05 pm
The Ministry of Education’s preparations for the 2025/2026 academic year include the issuance of decisions on the secondment of some officials in schools in order to ensure a smooth start of the academic year, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
According to the ministry, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Hamad Al-Hamad approved decisions to second 186 school principals and 501 assistant principals, who passed the tests and interviews for leadership positions, which were conducted as per Ministerial Resolution No. 116, stipulating the new standards and regulations in line with the latest developments in the educational field.
On filling vacant leadership positions, the ministry confirmed that 42.5 percent of vacant school principal positions have been filled so far and 43.2 percent for assistant principal positions. It stressed that the selection process was conducted as per the criteria, including professional competence and educational experience.
Meanwhile, the ministry announced the issuance of decisions to transfer teachers and administrative staff to new schools in Al-Mutlaa City and Ishbiliya, after opening the transfer door for those who wish to do so within a week. It disclosed that work will commence within three days of the issuance of the decisions, thereby ensuring the immediate appointment of teaching and administrative staff in the new schools. It indicated that nominations for leadership positions will open electronically on Nov 2, in accordance with the new academic calendar.
This will give the qualified educational staff a chance to apply with transparency and fairness, while completing the educational leadership development process as planned, it added. It revealed that these steps are in line with an integrated approach aimed at raising the efficiency of the educational field by empowering qualified school officials who can lead the educational process efficiently.
