Kuwait Issues Decree to Reform Kuwaiti Citizenship Verification Committee

KUWAIT CITY, March 8: The official gazette Kuwait Alyoum has published Decree No. (33) of 2026, reconstituting the Supreme Committee for Kuwaiti Citizenship Verification.

According to the decree, the committee will be chaired by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, with membership including the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Secretary-General of the Cabinet.

The decree also stipulates that the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior shall implement its provisions, which take effect from the date of issuance and have been published in the official gazette.
