The ban includes Kuwaitis and Bedoun who hold passports under Article 17. The directive says the ban will continue until further notice and until the conditions in Iraq improve.

The directive added, this is done in the best interests and safety of the citizens and Bedoun. Regarding the Gulf citizens who go to Iraq to visit the holy shrines, the source said instructions had been issued to this effect by the Ministry of Interior some time ago, according to which only the goods trucks would be allowed to enter and leave as well as those who come from Iraq and have valid residence permits.
