Kuwait Issues Advisory on Power Outages During Substation Maintenance

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 4: The Ministry of Electricity and Water has issued an advisory informing about scheduled maintenance work on secondary substations, which may lead to temporary power outages in certain areas.

The ministry said consumers can check whether their homes will be affected by visiting its official maintenance portal (https://mms.mew.gov.kw/Public/) and using the “Am I Affected?” feature. Residents are required to enter their automated home number or locate their property through the interactive map system to receive real-time notifications about potential outages.

Authorities urged the public to stay informed through official channels and plan accordingly during maintenance periods. In case of any electricity faults or emergencies, residents have been advised to contact the ministry’s hotline at 152 for immediate assistance.
