KUWAIT CITY, June 21: The Defense Command against Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), under the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a high level of combat and field readiness to safeguard the environment. This effort is supported by an organized operational framework and precise procedures, reinforced with the latest specialized equipment and advanced technology.

In a statement issued on Friday, the General Staff emphasized the command’s efficient performance in fulfilling its duties, which include monitoring, disinfection, sterilization, and response to WMD-related threats. These operations are carried out using state-of-the-art devices and modern vehicles designed for such tasks.

Among the key assets highlighted is the "Fox" vehicle, which plays a crucial role in reconnaissance and detection of chemical, biological, and radioactive contaminants. The vehicle is equipped to collect and analyze samples directly in the field, enabling rapid assessment and action.

The statement also noted the deployment of the "Decontine" vehicle — an integrated mobile system designed to decontaminate personnel and equipment exposed to chemical or biological pollutants. This vehicle features disinfection chambers and automated sterilization systems and is used in suspected contamination scenarios following operations or accidents.

The General Staff further stated that the WMD Defense Command responds swiftly and effectively to emergencies, with a strong emphasis on technical coordination and raising the operational efficiency of both equipment and personnel. Additionally, the command collaborates with relevant state institutions to ensure the environment remains free from radioactive or chemical hazards.
