The Final draw results.

JEDDAH, May 19: The draw for the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, placed Kuwait in Group A alongside Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Oman. Group B features the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Yemen.

Saudi Arabia will host the tournament from December 23 to January 6. The competition will be played in a group-stage format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals.

Kuwait, the record holders with 10 Gulf Cup titles, will be aiming to end a 16-year wait for the trophy, having last lifted it in the Gulf Cup 20 in Yemen in 2010.

In preparation, the national team will travel to Bangkok in early June for a training camp that includes two friendly matches. They are scheduled to face Thailand on June 9, while a second friendly is still being arranged after Oman withdrew from the match initially set for June 4.
