Kuwait Interior Ministry Urges Public to Avoid Shrapnel Sites After Incident

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 6:The Kuwait Ministry of Interior has urged citizens and residents to avoid gathering near sites where shrapnel has fallen, warning that such behavior poses safety risks and obstructs emergency operations.

In a statement, spokesperson Nasser Bousleib said authorities observed crowds gathering at affected locations overnight and stressed the importance of keeping clear of such areas.

He warned the public not to approach shrapnel, debris, or unidentified objects, noting that these instructions are intended to protect lives and reduce potential hazards. He also stated that some individuals and accounts have been identified as spreading rumours regarding alleged fatalities. Authorities clarified that the recorded cases are limited to injuries only, with no deaths reported. They added that necessary legal measures will be taken against those responsible for circulating false information.

The ministry added that compliance with safety directives allows emergency and response teams to access incident sites quickly and carry out their duties efficiently.
