Kuwait Interior Ministry Pushes Digital Transformation After Systems Directorate Review

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 23: The Undersecretary of Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior Kuwait, Major General Abdulwahab Ahmed Al-Wahaib, conducted an inspection tour of the General Directorate of Information Systems as part of ongoing efforts to enhance institutional performance and monitor workflow across security sectors.

Accompanied by Assistant Undersecretary for Supporting Security Services Major General Ali Musfer Al-Adwani and several senior security officials, Al-Wahaib reviewed operational mechanisms and the technological systems currently in use. During the visit, specialists provided a comprehensive briefing on key electronic platforms, digital infrastructure development, and a range of current and future technology-driven projects aimed at strengthening the country’s security framework.

Al-Wahaib emphasized that advanced technological solutions have become a cornerstone in supporting security decision-making, noting that digital transformation is no longer optional but essential in modern security operations amid rapidly evolving technologies. He highlighted that the Ministry is steadily building an integrated technological ecosystem designed to enhance readiness levels and improve the efficiency of security performance.

He added that efforts are underway to expand and upgrade electronic services in line with the needs of users, particularly visitors, with a focus on simplifying procedures and accelerating transaction processing while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

The inspection also underscored the Ministry’s commitment to leveraging innovation to improve institutional output and ensure seamless coordination across departments. At the conclusion of the tour, Al-Wahaib praised the competence and dedication of the Directorate’s staff, commending their role in keeping pace with technological advancements and contributing to the Ministry’s modernization goals.

He stressed the importance of continued teamwork and sustained development to further enhance the Ministry’s capabilities and reinforce its advanced institutional image.
