KUWAIT CITY, July 1: Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior and the Embassy of Pakistan discussed ways to enhance security cooperation, coordination and exchange of expertise during a meeting held Wednesday between senior officials from both sides.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Ahmed Al-Wuhaib received Pakistani Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Zafar Iqbal, with Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Supporting Security Services Brigadier General Fawaz Al-Roumi and other security officials also attending.
During the meeting, Al-Wuhaib highlighted the strong relations between Kuwait and Pakistan and reviewed areas of joint cooperation in security and law enforcement.
The discussions focused on strengthening coordination channels, training and capacity-building programmes, as well as the exchange of professional and institutional expertise between the two countries.
The officials also discussed matters related to the Pakistani community in Kuwait and ways to improve communication and cooperation between relevant authorities.
Al-Wuhaib affirmed the Interior Ministry’s commitment to further developing security ties with Pakistan and expanding cooperation to support joint efforts aimed at maintaining security and stability.
For his part, Ambassador Zafar Iqbal expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Interior’s continued cooperation and support for the Pakistani Embassy and community in Kuwait, praising the close relations between the two countries.
